On Thursday evening, January 25, 2018, well-known boxing promoter Gabriel Quinones of Quinones Promociones was back at it with a full slate of fights at the nightspot Rancho Grande on Avenida Revolucion in downtown Tijuana. With Tijuana being recognized as the number one city on the planet as far as hosting Pro Boxing Shows, Quinones’ labor of love has now become a 24/7 occupation. From local standouts, like Victor “Sina” Fonseca of Tijuana and Cristian “Ruso” Olivas of Mexicali to the visitors from far off lands like JJ McDonagh and Vladimir Belujsky from Ireland and Israel Duffus who now resides in Los Angeles after moving from Panama, locals are getting exposed to the very best. Like soccer and American football, local boxing fans can’t get enough of this passionate sport with its fascinating characters.

On tonight’s fight card they’re featuring the following headliners:

(top, left) southpaw, middleweight JJ McDonagh (14-3, 7 KOs) from Mullingar, Ireland, BR-GID: 517294 who will be facing up and comer Cristian “El Perron” Aquilar (5-12, 1 KO) BR-GID: 762060. from Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico.

(top) Israel “Bumaye” Duffus (15-4, 12 KOs) BR-GID 560448 of Los Angeles by way of Panama, will now be facing Juan Carlos Moreno (2-20-2) after his scheduled opponent Ricardo Campillo became unavailable. Due to his Fred Astaire like dancing prowess with his wife on YouTube, the couple’s has now become an Internet sensation.
